What is 'Entities Tagging'

What is Entities Tagging

Entities tagging is a feature for 'Parent' organizations (i.e. fiscal sponsors, foundations, associations, etc). It allows you to set classifications on objects within the platform related to your 'Children' organizations, or fiscally sponsored projects.

These objects, or 'entities', can eventually be searched for and presented as search results through the Search API.

A parent organization can add tags to the following entities:

  • Accounts
    • Tags on accounts should be used to categorize accounts (i.e. projects, children) so that they are easily discoverable through search (i.e. human services, health, education, shelter, zoo, aquarium, environmental, political, etc.) and/or so that search results can be displayed on another website.
  • Campaigns
    • Tags on campaigns should be used to categorize campaigns so that they are easily discoverable through search (i.e. end-of-year, #givingTuesday, Easter campaign, Christmas campaign, etc.) and/or search results can be displayed on another website.
  • Forms
    • Tags on forms should be used to categorize accounts so that they are easily discoverable through search (i.e. volunteer, contact, survey, customer service, etc.) and/or so that search results can be displayed on another website.

To see and edit your Entity Tags, click on 'children' or 'projects' from your dashboard;

Then click 'entity tagging';

From here you can create and manage the tags that your Accounts (i.e. 'children' or 'projects') will use to classify their entities (i.e. campaigns, forms, etc)
