What are the different types of gift cards?
Parent: a parent organization refers to an organization that has many smaller accounts/nonprofits fundraising underneath their umbrella (i.e. associations, fiscal sponsors, foundations)
Child: a child organization refers to one that raises money underneath a 'parent' organization's umbrella
- a donation gift card allows a parent or child organization to create a gift card specific to one of their campaigns or fundraising endeavors. this would ensure that a customer who purchases the gift card uses it for this organization's specific campaign and nothing else
- an adoption gift card is created in partnership with an additional party solution provider. purchased from the parent organization's WeDidIt sponsored Gift Card site or from an assocaited Animal Shelter, holds funds to be applied at a later date, may be sent electronically to donors, sent as a gift, or printed and mailed.
- an adoption gift card allows a parent or child organization to create a gift card specific to an adoption campaign for a shelter or rescue group. this would ensure that a customer who purchases the gift card uses it for the adoption campaign only
- a universal gift card is created by the parent organization which can be redeemed at any organization affiliated with the parent organization. for example; Parent Org A creates a 'universal gift card' which they make available for purchase on their website, which takes the purchaser to a WeDidIt hosted site for gift card creation, for all and any donors/customers/visitors to purchase. once purchased, the donor/customer/visitor is able to use this gift card at any of the Child Orgs who are associated with Parent Org A.
